Test Results Patients are notified in the case of any significant abnormality in test results. However, if you wish to contact the surgery regarding a test result we would ask you to do so after 2pm when all the morning’s post has been opened.

Our nurses work between the two surgeries. As well as being responsible for cervical smears, wound dressings, injections, suture removal, blood pressure checks, health checks, immunisations, and general nursing care, they have undergone further training and are responsible for travel advice, triage & play a major role in chronic disease management, especially asthma, diabetes & coronary heart disease. Appointments are available at both sites most mornings and afternoons and are made through reception.
Nurse Melanie Roe runs our baby and toddler immunisation clinics.
Our healthcare assistants, Janet and Tracy carry out blood tests by appointment most weekdays. They assist the nursing team in taking blood, ECGs, blood pressure recording, removing sutures and dressings and giving health advice. They also assist in the minor operations clinics.
Mrs Bronia Hallum is the Practice Manager.

District/Community Nurses are attached to both surgeries to care for those who are housebound and need nursing care, practical help and support in the community. A Community Nurse for the Elderly dealing specifically with the over 75 year olds is also part of the team. She has special expertise in arranging practical and social care where needed Both can be contacted via reception at either surgery.
The Health Visiting team are based in Hawthorn Lodge at Moorgreen Hospital, and can be contacted by telephoning 02380 475 177. They have special responsibilities to families with children under 5 and to provide help on other issues pertaining to family life. The team consists of Health Visitors, Staff Nurses and Nursery Nurses and can be contacted 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Counselling services for people who wish to discuss problems of any kind or for patients with deeper emotional needs are now provided by iTalk. For more about the service they provide, see their website at www.italk.org.uk. All consultations are dealt with confidentially. Referrals are made via a G.P. or you can contact them yourself via their website, or on 02380 38 39 20. Alternatively, ask one of the doctors for a leaflet.
